Search Local posts are on hiatus at this time. I am very blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to take multiple research trips over the next month, which I will be sharing in a new video series this year.
My first trip involves traveling with my parents in Pennsylvania and West Virginia, in search of both of their family histories in both states as well as visiting the coal mining region where my mother was born. We'll take a look at walking in the steps of our ancestors and learning more about their experiences.
My second trip is entirely focused on the National Archives in Washington D.C. and the excitement of new discoveries involving our military ancestors.
My third trip takes me to the Library of Virginia in Richmond, Virginia, where we'll learn about colonial records that are still available to family historians.
And finally, the fourth trip will hopefully entail the Daughters of the American Revolution Library in Washington D.C., where we will explore the material available for those interested in joining the lineage society. Another potential visit is to a historical battle site, where an ancestor fought.
This new video series will cover learning more about our family history by walking where our ancestors walked and discovering resources that may help us discover more of our ancestors' stories.
Keep watch for the new video series which will launch in 2023!!!
